Tell us about yourself! What should people know about you?
I'm SleepOvrNxtFriday, and I'm all about creating music that moves you. I pour my heart and soul into every track. I recently made the move from Tennessee to California to pursue my passion even further. I recently signed a record deal with It’s Gorgeous Musique out of Las Vegas and we are looking to make major moves in the Los Angeles area.
How long have you been making music and what or who inspired you to do so?
I've been making music since 2019 under the name SleepOvrNxtFriday but have been making music even longer. Growing up, artists like The Weeknd inspired me to start creating my own sound and tell my own stories through music. I play piano and used to produce beats as well. Now, I primarily focus on the vocals.
We are aware not everyone makes music the same. What is your creative process like?
My creative process is all about capturing real emotions and experiences. I draw inspiration from everyday life, personal struggles, and the world around me. It's a blend of introspection, storytelling, and finding the right beats that resonate with my message.
Is there any advice you would give to upcoming artists?
For upcoming artists, my advice would be to stay true to yourself and your vision. Don't be afraid to experiment and evolve as an artist. Surround yourself with supportive people who believe in your talent and work ethic.
Who would you say is the best artist of all time?
That's a tough one! I’m going to have to say The Weeknd!
