Tell us about yourself! What should people know about you?
I was born in Monroeville, AL and raised in Stockton, CA. I spent six years in Alabama before I moved to California with my mom to get better health care for my sister. We moved around a lot when I was younger. I was jumping around from school to school and had a hard time fitting in. The end of my freshman year I moved in with my dad and stayed till the end of sophomore year. Afterwards, I took a bus back and finished high school in California.
How long have you been making music and what or who inspired you to do so?
I started making music around 2021 with a couple of my homies. I spent about a year going to different studios before I decided to start getting equipment myself. I was recording my own music for a while before I met my engineer that I work with today. I started making music because of Juice Wrld. I wanted to make music people related to.
We are aware not everyone makes music the same. What is your creative process like?
Usually I just pick a beat and let it play a few times. I don't write so I punch in lyrics and let them come naturally without overthinking them. I like to structure my songs with the hook first, then verse, and pre chorus. I create some songs without hooks or verses first, it just depends on the song and beat choice.
Is there any advice you would give to upcoming artists?
Don't give up. There's going to be obstacles that try to prevent you from doing certain things but you have to find a detour. Put in a lot of hours in the studio practicing your craft and you will eventually make that one song that will change your life.
Who would you say is the best artist of all time?
I believe Juice Wrld is the most talented artist of all time. His ability to make hits anytime he wanted, his different flows, and the fast influence he had on the world was just different.
